Note 1
Restrictions imposed vide this Notification shall not apply to the
following:
(i) Export of Castor Oil,
(ii) Export of Coconut Oil through Kochi Port,
(iii) ‘Deemed export’ of edible oils to 100% export oriented units with
the condition that the final product be non-edible,
(iv) Export of Oils produced out of minor forest produce, as per table
given below, even if edible :

(v) Export of edible oil from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) to Special Economic
Zone (SEZ) to be consumed by the SEZ units for manufacture of processed food

(vi) Export of edible oil in branded consumer packs of up to 5 Kgs, subject to a
limit of 10,000 MTs for a period up to 31st October, 2009: Such exports shall be
allowed only from Customs EDI Ports.
Now, the same dispensation has been extended upto 31.10.2011 as follows:-
1. There shall be no change in ports i.e. exports will be permitted from Custom
EDI Ports;
2. The period of export will be from 01.11.2010 to 31.10.2011;
3. The total quantity ceiling permitted for exports is 10,000 tons; and
4. There shall be no change in packing i.e. exports permitted in branded
consumer packs of up to 5 Kgs.
