SURAT: The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Surat office has started a unique initiative to connect the entrepreneurs in the diamond city with the foreign trade and to encourage to increase import and export from the region.
The DGFT's Surat office will be initiating a 10-minute radio programmme named 'videsh vyapar ki baat' to provide vital information on increasing export and import and disseminating several initiative taken by the Central Government in this regard.
The inaugural episode to be aired at around 9:50 am will be addressed by the Navsari MP, CR Paatil. Paatil will talk about various incentives schemes initiated by the Government of India and how people can take benefit out of it.

DGFT of Surat, Sambhaji Chavan said, "This is a unique way to communicate with our importers and exporters in the region. The sole purpose is to increase the foreign trade and to provide all needed information regarding the government schemes and incentives"
Chavan added, "The radio programme will be aired on Vividh Bharati for 10 episodes. In further episodes, tips for import and export and general knowledge regarding the same will be given".
