HC asks MSEDCL to supply power to Mihan |
NAGPUR: In some respite to industries working in Mihan project, the Nagpur bench of Bombay high court on Thursday directed MSEDCL to supply power to them till next hearing that was fixed for Tuesday. A division bench of justices Bhushan Dharmadhikari and PR Bora also served noticed to respondents, including Maharashtra industries and energy ministries, MADC, MSEDCL, Abhijit Energy and Mihan-SEZ development commissioner, asking them file replies before the next hearing.
The petitioner industries had knocked judiciary's doors through counsel Tushar Mandlekar after Abhijit Energy shut down supply on Wednesday evening leaving them in the lurch. Smart Data, Kanav Agronomy, Caliber Point, Diet Food and Cenosphere India are the petitioners who contended it was MADC's duty to supply them uninterrupted power.
