NEW DELHI: Shares of Ram Ratna Wire NSE 15.61 %, West Coast Paper NSE 14.78 %, Metro Brands Ltd., Andhra Paper NSE 10.80 % and Vinyl Chemicals NSE 7.10 %, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:21AM(IST)on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 113.6 points to 17271.85 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Bombay Rayon, Birla Tyres NSE -4.72 %, IMP Powers Ltd NSE -4.71 %, DRC Systems India NSE -4.65 % Ltd. and Jindal Cotex NSE -3.77 %, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 34 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 16 traded in the red.

Traders were seen piling up positions in Paper, Aquaculture, Telecommunications, Shipping and Industrial Consumables sectors, while selling was visible in Metals - Ferrous, Gas & Petroleum, Pharmaceuticals, Auto Ancillaries and Glass sectors.
