Notification No. 85/2014 -Customs (N.T.)

G.S.R.--(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and
Customs hereby makes following further amendments in notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue,
No.
83/2004-Customs (N.T.), dated the 30th June, 2004, published vide number G.S.R.
393(E), dated the 30th June, 2004, namely:-
In the said notification, for the Sl. No (1) and the entries relating thereto,
the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“(1) the Principal Director General of Revenue Intelligence, New Delhi to be the
Principal Chief Commissioner of Customs who shall have jurisdiction over the
whole of India;
(1A) the Director General of Inspection, Customs and Central Excise, New Delhi
to be the Chief Commissioner of Customs who shall have jurisdiction over the
whole of India;”.
2. This notification shall come into force with effect from 15th October, 2014.
