According to USDA's latest weekly cotton summary, during the week ending Mar 24, net Upland sales reductions of 32,500 RB were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported for China (118,100 RB), Morocco (12,800 RB), Ecuador (10,600 RB), and Indonesia (6,100 RB, including 100 RB switched from Japan), were more than offset by decreases for Turkey (110,300 RB), Vietnam (13,700 RB), Peru (13,300 RB), Mexico (11,300 RB), and Japan (9,800 RB). Net sales of 309,400 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for China (135,800 RB) and Turkey (116,400 RB). Decreases were reported for Vietnam (1,300 RB), Mexico (800 RB), and Japan (500 RB). 

Exports of 451,700 RB were up 13 percent from the previous week and 12 percent from the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were China (148,400 RB), Turkey (89,900 RB), Brazil (31,700 RB), Thailand (25,100 RB), Indonesia (24,800 RB), and Mexico (23,000 RB). Net American Pima sales reductions of 6,400 RB resulted as increases for Bangladesh (1,300 RB), Pakistan (300 RB), Turkey (100 RB), and Japan (100 RB), were more than offset by decreases for South Korea (5,100 RB) and China (3,100 RB). 

Net sales of 8,500 RB for delivery in 2011/12 were mainly for South Korea (5,100 RB), Pakistan (2,100 RB), and Thailand (1,100 RB). Exports of 16,000 RB were primarily to China (6,900 RB), India (2,500 RB), Japan (1,700 RB), and Indonesia (1,600 RB).
