India Budget: The government is on course to meet its fiscal deficit goal of less than 4.5% of GDP in FY26, having overcome the Covid-19 pandemic blow. With debt proposed as the new fiscal policy anchor from FY27, it is expected the govt could announce more details of a new consolidation framework.
