NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:24AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.43 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(up 0.25 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.24 per cent), Pfizer(up 0.2 per cent) and Biocon(up 0.19 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Granules India(down 4.07 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(down 3.35 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 2.96 per cent), Laurus(down 2.75 per cent) and Natco Pharma(down 2.31 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.38 per cent at 11758.95 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 3.75 points at 15289.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 30.6 points at 51391.02.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, MRPL, Suzlon Energy and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
