Pharmaceutical stocks fell up to 9% on Friday, September 26, after US President Donald Trump announced a 100% tariff on branded and patented pharmaceuticals.
Wockhardt led the losses, falling more than 9%. Sun Pharma shares closed over 2% lower after hitting a 52-week low of Rs 1,547, down 5% from the previous close. Biocon closed nearly 5% lower, while Zydus Lifesciences slipped 4.4%.
