Rupee falls 29 paise against US dollar to Rs 55.76 |

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Thursday. Rupee was down by 29 paise or 0.53% against USD at Rs 55.76 compared to previous close of 55.47 (09.30 a.m.).
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased to 84.33 (23:41 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.28 up 0.09% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 102.8 up 0.35% (23:53 ET).
The Sensex was trading down 75.68 points or 0.38% at 19,986.56 with 21 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 29.75 points or 0.49% at 6,064.75 with 41 components falling.
