Rupee Gains 4 Paise Against US Dollar to 53.17 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Wednesday. Rupee was marginally higher by 0.04 paise or 0.02% against USD to Rs 53.17 compared to previous close of 53.22 (9.26 a.m.).
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.93% to 79.74. It touched a high of 79.79 and a low of 79.65 after opening at 79.66 (22:52 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.30 down 0.1301% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 76.69 down 0.0541% (22:49 ET).
