The Indian government on Jan. 23 announced a six-month ban on imports of Chinese toys, which aroused deep concern in China about the ban itself and about possible trade restrictions in the future.
Toy prices in India jumped as much as 100% after the ban was imposed, and many toy dealers' toy stocks were rapidly depleted.
Since October, India has enacted 17 trade policies, including anti-dumping measures, against Chinese imports such as penicillin, hot-rolled steel, vehicle axles and linen, said the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
