Rupee Gains 2 Paise Against US Dollar in Early Trade |

Indian rupee edged higher against the greenback in morning trade. Rupee was up by 2 paise or 0.02% against USD to Rs 45.35 compared to previous close of 45.38. (09.53 a.m.)
At 9.54., the Sensex was trading down 105.52 points or 0.54% at 19,586.29 with 20 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 21.45 points or 0.36% at 5,883.15 with 36 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index dropped 0.007% to 81.12. It touched a high of 81.20 and a low of 80.99 after opening at 81.19. (23:20 ET)
Euro - USD was trading at 1.29 down 0.0003% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 83.09 down 0.0525%. (23:20 ET).
