GJEPC launches 'Jewellers for Hope' campaign.

SURAT: For the first time, the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has initiated its first edition of 'jewellers for hope' campaign, a CSR activity with an objective to build a CSR fund that will be used to support various social causes.

A charity dinner has been hosted by the GJEPC in Mumbai's Grand Hyatt on Friday for the manufacturers and retailers in the gems and jewellery sector to raise their contributions for the campaign. The funds collected at the event will be donated to "Make a wish' foundation, which will further utilize the money to fulfill the wish of terminally ill children.

Through this initiative, GJEPC would like to spread the message that this the industry is built on business ethics and also create awareness about the Gem & Jewellery's philanthropic initiative in India to give back to the society.
