NEW DELHI: SBI(Rs. 9837.49 crore), BEL(Rs. 7206.60 crore), HAL(Rs. 7124.60 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 6969.25 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 6736.83 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 6369.19 crore), Adani Power(Rs. 5551.56 crore), RIL(Rs. 5214.18 crore), REC(Rs. 5211.74 crore) and Power Finance Corp.(Rs. 5000.86 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 1379.41 points down at 21884.5, while BSE Sensex fell 4389.73 points to 72079.05.
In the Nifty index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 5.96 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 3.09 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 3.05 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.91 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 21.15 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 19.32 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 16.83 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 15.46 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 14.41 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
