Domestic benchmark index NSE Nifty ended 180.3 points up at 16520.85, while the BSE Sensex closed 629.91 points up at 55397.53.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tech Mahindra NSE -1.96 %, ONGC NSE -0.04 %, HCL Tech NSE 0.50 %, TCS and RIL NSE -0.86 % were among the top gainers on the NSE in the today's trade.
Meanwhile, HDFC Life NSE 0.16 %, M&M, Eicher Motors NSE 0.50 %, Sun Pharma NSE 0.63 % and Adani Ports
SEZ NSE 1.38 % were among the top losers of the day.
