PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 9(RE-2008)/2004-2009
NEW DELHI, DATED THE 24th April 2008
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE2008):
- Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 5(RE2008)/2004-09 dated 17.4.2008. Consequently, following amendments are made in Appendix 37A.
- VKGUY Product Code 02 is amended to read as under:
“All items covered by ITC HS Codes 0407, 0408 and 0409”
- VKGUY Product Code No 10.7 - “ICE CREAM & OTHR EDBL ICE W/N CONTNG COCOA, covered under ITC HS Code 2105” stands deleted.
- In the description given in column 5 of VKGUY Product Code 10.26, for exports w.e.f 17.4.2008, the sentence ‘Note: For exports w.e.f 17.4.2008, ITC HS Codes 19011001 (*Malted Milk (including Powder) & 19011010 (Malted Milk (including Powder) are excluded from this entry.’ is added at end.
- It is clarified that export of ‘Casein’, as mentioned in Public Notice No 5(RE2008)/2004-09 dated 17.4.2008, was not eligible for VKGUY benefits since it was never listed in Appendix 37A.
- Consequently, for exports w.e.f 17.4.2008, export of Milk and value added Milk Products (covered under ITC HS codes 0401 to 0406, 19011001, 19011010 & 2105) shall not be entitled to VKGUY scheme benefits.
