ComMin proposes revamp of
SEZ policy
New Delhi: The Commerce Ministry has proposed revamp of the SEZ policy to address issues concerning land acquisition and boost exports with a view to bridge the widening trade deficit. In a draft discussion paper, the Ministry said that SEZs could act as a potent instrument to increase the country’s shipments and attract more FDI.
GMR plans R1,750 cr inve-stment in solar projects
Bangalore: GMR Group plans to invest Rs 1,750 crore over three years to take its renewable energy generation capacity, mainly solar, to 200 mw by 2014-15, a top company official said on Friday. The company said its 25 MW solar power project in Gujarat is expected to be commissioned next month.
Recall covers Ghost models in India: Rolls Royce
New Delhi: Global iconic luxury car maker Rolls-Royce Friday said the Indian market will also be covered by its recent recall of ‘Ghost’ model for a possible fire hazard. The company did not specify the exact number of cars that would be recalled in India, saying they do not give out numbers as a policy.

Sebi allows MFs in repo corp debt securities
Mumbai: Sebi on Friday allowed mutual funds to invest in repo, or short-term repurchase of forward contract, of corporate debt securities with a ceiling of 10 per cent of the net assets of the concerned scheme.
