City to host hand block print seminar today |
JAIPUR: A one-day seminar on hand block prints of Rajasthan will be organized in the city on Monday. The seminar has been organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Rural Non Farm Development Agency (RUDA), Development Commissioner (Handicraft) and Ministry of Textile, Government of India.
The day-long seminar through its three technical sessions will focus on role of designing, product development in hand block prints, market trends, print technology, design patterns and the scope for improvement and international marketing.
It will be attended by artisans from the textile industry, wherein all the participants will actively discuss about hand block prints of Rajasthan and explore business possibilities.
The inaugural address will be delivered by chairman and managing director of RUDA Nilima Jauhari. The technical sessions will be addressed by Ex-NID, Anupama Bose; MD of Rangotri, Vikram Joshi, director, NCTD ( National Centre for Textile Design) BB Paul, IICD Faculty, Rachna Singh and HOD (Textile Exports, HHEC, K.C. Shakdwipee.
