Custom duty on LCD panels should be brought down to zero: Eric Braganza |

Haier India is one of the largest Home Appliances & Consumer Electronics brands in the country with a wide range of product portfolio. Like every company, Haier India also expecting positive outcomes from the Budget 2012 especially in LCD sections.
Eric Braganza- President, Haier India shared his inputs for the forthcoming Budget 2012:
> Currently, there is 5% import duty on LCD panels, With the budget 2012, custom duty on LCD panels should be brought down to zero to lay the following advantages: Improve the manufacture outputs in India Cut down the final roll out price for a product Provide economical products to the customers. This will contribute to the Indian economy by generating more employment opportunities.
> Increase in abatement level of 45% from existing level of 30%.
