Merchem Ltd, a leading manufacturer and supplier of rubber processing and specialty chemicals, has been awarded the Chemexcil Certificate for Export Excellence.
Mr P.E. Thomas, Managing Director, Merchem Ltd, received the award from Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, at a function in Mumbai recently.
The award is based on Merchem's consistent and substantial export growth performance. Exports constitute about 20 per cent of Merchem's turnover and are expected to grow to up to 25 per cent in 2009-10.
The target turnover for the current year is about Rs 200 crore, out of which the export turnover is pegged at Rs 50 crore, a release issued here said.
