The Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (Maditssia), in association with the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), will be holding an export awareness programme will be organised in the city on August 21. The objective of the programme is to bring more small-scale units to the export sector with tremendous potential existing globally for Indian engineering goods and services such as technical consultancy. According to a press release, the aw areness programme would cover basic requirements for starting export/import trade, support extended by various organisations connected with export/import, financial benefits offered by the Government to make manufacturers/exporters of engineering gods competitive in international markets, cautions to be adopted in the international business, and various export promotion schemes.
