HMSI plans to make India export hub in 2-3 yrs |
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) is now eying stepping up its exports from India. The company plans to make India an export hub in the next two-three years, reports CNBC-TV18's Ronojoy Banarjee.
After HMSI set itself an ambitious target of becoming the No.1 two-wheeler maker in India in the next 10 years. It seems that their ambitions will not end there.
The company is keen to step up its exports from the Indian market. The company recently rejiged it’s senior management and created four new positions, one of which would be solely focusing on exports. The company has also roped in senior advisors from Honda Motors Japan.
HMSI is waiting for their third facility at Karnataka which is expected to be fully operational by the year 2014-2015. Karnataka facility will help the company to free up capacity for HMSI to start and increase exports.
