Hyundai to ship i20 to more non-European countries.

Chennai, Aug. 27 Hyundai Motor India Ltd is adding 42 non-European countries to export its premium hatchback car i20.

A press release from the company said Hyundai Motor India has received initial orders from new countries such as South Africa, Israel and Indonesia.

The car has been shipped to 47 countries – predominantly in the European market and a few countries in West Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Mr H.S. Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India, said, “Just as in the Indian market, the i20 has been the popular car overseas. We have planned to increase our penetration in other key potential markets.”
