India Approves First Tranche of 29,622 t OGL Exports |
India has issued permits to export 29,622 tonnes of sugar, kicking off overseas sales of a total 500,000 tonnes given an official green light on April 19.
A total of 16 mills have been allotted licences until April 26, of which Mawana Sugars Ltd. and Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. have been allowed to ship their entire quota of 5,922.5 tonnes and 5,233 tonnes, respectively. The Food Ministry has also permitted Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd. to export its quota of 3,497 tonnes, an unnamed official from the ministry said.
