India's Government Issued Export Permits To 16 mills For 15,898 t Of Sugar Exports |
Indian sugar mills have received export licences for 15,898 tonnes of sugar out of the additional 500,000 tonnes of open general licence (OGL) sugar exports allowed by the government in late June, Food Ministry data showed. The permits were given to 16 mills by July 7.
Mills that export sugar from their own production will have to apply within 30 days from June 28 for the permits, while companies buying the sweetener from others have 45 days to apply for an export release order.
