India's HPCL To Import 3.5 mln Tonnes Crude Oil From Iran |
India'S HPCL will import 12.5 million tonnes of crude oil in 2011/12, including one million tonnes from the spot market, its head of refineries K. Murali said on Wednesday.
Of the total imports, 11.5 million tonnes will be through term deals, Murali told reporters.
"Indigenous supplies will be 4 million tonnes," he said, adding that of the total FY12 imports about 3.5 milion tonnes will come via a term deal with Iran.
HPCL runs a 130,000 barrels-per-day (bpd) refinery in Mumbai and a 166,000 bpd plant at Vizag, in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
