India's Oilmeals Export Up 26% During April - November 2010 - SEA of India |
As per latest data complied by Solvent Extractors' Association of India ( SEA), the total oilmeals export during November 2010 is reported at 492,740 tons compared to 346,859 tons , up by 42%. The overall export of oilmeals for April- November 2010 is reported at 2,381,558 tons compared to 1,890,706 tons , up by 26%.
SEA mentioned that exports of Soybean Meal in November 2010, jumped to 443,488 tons from 297,340 tons in last November 2009 and Rapeseed Meal nearly doubled compared to November 2009 due to gradual improvement in market coupled with increased activities in crushing , picked up the export of oilmeals from India. This helped the India to liquidate the most of carry overstock of soybean before commencement of new season. The export of oilmeals and crushing was also supported by good crush margin in last two months, thanks to better oil prices. All these positive factors boosted overall meal export in Oct.& Nov., 2010.
