Dr. A Sakthivel, Chairman of Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) of India, complimented Shri Anand Sharma for crossing the trade target of US $ 300 billion during 2011-12. Shri Sakthivel gave all credit to Shri Sharma and termed it a ‘big big achievement’.
He thanked Minister for encoring the garment exporting community and Minister’s vision for diversification of exports that paid dividends. In his letter Chairman AEPC termed achievement to be remarkable despite bad market conditions in European Union and sluggish market conditions in USA.
Shri Sakthivel in his letter said, “On behalf of US $ 13 billion garment exporting community and 60 lac workers, who have contributed day and night in garment manufacturing and exporting, I once again thank you for your blessings”. We commit ourselves to continue our excellence in manufacturing and exporting.
