India's Spices Export Revenue Rises 16 Percent In April -September 2010 |
According to the latest updates from the spices board of India, spices exports from India during April - September 2010 gained by 8 percent to 2,73,600 tonnes and earnings spurted by 16 percent to Rs. 309,535.35 lakh against the same period last year.
Black Pepper exports from India during period dipped 4 percent to 9,100 and export earnings spurted by 9 percent to Rs. 15,906.00 lakh.
Cardamom exports declined 25 percent to 300 tonnes while earnings surged 29 percent to Rs. 3,625.50 lakh.
Chilli exports gained by 28 percent to 117,500 tonnes and earnings also gained the same percent to Rs. 73,000.25 lakh.
Turmeric exports tumbled 15 percent to 25,750 tonnes while earnings improved by 83%to Rs. 36,097.05 lakh.
Coriander exports gained by 6 percent to 25,500 tonnes and earnings dipped by 21 percent to Rs. 9,535.73 lakh.
Jeera exports dipped by 32 percent to 17,750 tonnes and earnings slipped by 26 percent to Rs. 20,919.13 Lakh.
Mint exports dipped by 13 percent to 8,750 tonnes and earnings jumped by 7 percent to Rs. 65,551.50 lakh.
