Indian minister says steel imports do not cause material injury |

Indian Minister of State for Steel Shri A.Sai Prathap has said that there is no general case of imports causing injury to the domestic steel industry.
In a written statement issued in India's upper house of the parliament on March 5, the minister said that no complaints from any public sector steel company have been received by the Directorate General of Anti Dumping&Allied Duties (DGAD&AD), the institution which hears dumping complaints in the country, for evolving a time-bound anti-dumping mechanism.
India's official steel import figures for January suggest that inbound shipments surged by 34.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago
