Natural rubber imports fall 17% |

India's import of natural rubber declined by nearly 17% to 18,834 tonne in August, 2010, compared to 22,640 tonne in the same month last year, according to the Rubber Board. The total import of natural rubber in first five months of current fiscal period declined by nearly 28% to 75,042 tonne.
Rajasthan expects double kharif output
Rajasthan expects kharif crop production to double to 110.62 lakh tonne this year vis-a-vis the previous year due to good rainfall, a senior agriculture official said on Tuesday. As against a target of 142.50 lakh hectares, sowing has been done in 147.23 lakh hectares in the ongoing kharif season, Rajasthan agriculture minister Harji Ram Burdak said.
