Pharmexcil to Provide Global Tender Info to Member Exporters Free of Charge |
The renamed Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India, (Pharmexcil) is expanding its service to the exporters by providing global tender information free of cost to its members.
So far the Indian firms were finding it difficult to get relevant and authenticated information relating to Global tenders in Health and pharmaceutical sector. Earlier many Indian firms specialized in the manufacture of bulk drugs, Formulations and laboratory equipments had lost good opportunities abroad due to lack of relevant information.
Now with this new service provided by Pharmexcil, it will enable the Indian industry to explore, compete and grab the available opportunities for pharmaceutical exports across different countries in the world.
“In addition to our earlier services, we have also decided to disseminate important information relating to global tenders to the members free of cost. I think this will definitely help them to enhance their exports to international institutions and in turn achieve India's targeted pharmaceutical exports of US$ 25 billion by 2013-14,” said Dr P V Appaji, executive director, Pharmexcil.
In fact, the council has developed a separate domain or website for the easy access of tender information by the members. The member firms can view information not only from India but also from various countries across the world. Though procuring the tenders information is involving huge expenditure, initially the council has decided to provide it free of cost and will be updated on a daily basis.
The new website has already started displaying global tenders since last one week. Recent tenders from Australia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Brazil, Chile Czech Republic, Egypt, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Gautemala, etc are already on display.
The website is designed in such a way that the members can chose the tenders of their choice. Members can login by using the user name and password already provided by the council. New members can obtain their login details by contacting relevant department in the council.
All the registered members will get an alert mail everyday about the updated Tenders. “To continue this facility on a long term basis we are seeking comments and suggestions about the usefulness of the information from the members,” added Appaji.
