Rupee Gains 8 Paise Against US Dollar to 49.05 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Friday. Rupee was higher by 8 paise or 0.18% against USD to Rs 49.05 compared to previous close of 49.13 (9.37 a.m.).
At 9.39 am., the Sensex was trading up 175.38 points or 1.00% at 17,657.31 with 27 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 50.10 points or 0.95% at 5,315.85 with 46 components gaining.
Euro - USD was trading at 1.38 down 0.1186% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 78 down 0.0663% (23:56 ET).
