NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 10:29AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market.
Wipro(up 0.79 per cent), Infosys(up 0.32 per cent) and Coforge(up 0.19 per cent) were among the top gainers.
MPhasis(down 2.4 per cent), Mindtree(down 1.49 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 1.45 per cent), Tech Mahindra(down 1.29 per cent) and L&T Technology(down 0.44 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.31 per cent at 26648.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 26.35 points at 15267.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 44.85 points at 51315.57.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea NSE -4.88 %, YES Bank NSE -1.20 %, MRPL, Suzlon Energy NSE -8.44 % and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
