Rupee falls 22 paise against US dollar to 51.13 |

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Thursday. Rupee was lower by 0.22 paise or 0.45% against USD to Rs 51.13 (09.31 a.m.).
At 09.34 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 140.74 points or 0.82% at 16,980.88 with 24 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 43.15 points or 0.83% at 5,151.60 with 43 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.05% to 79.08 (00:04 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.33 up 0.09% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 82.64 down 0.31% (22:21 ET).
