Rupee falls 8 paise against US dollar to 55.94 |

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Friday. Rupee was down by 0.8 paise or 0.15% against USD to Rs 55.94 (09.19 a.m.).
At 09.21 a.m, the Sensex was trading down 39.38 points or 0.24% at 16,182.92 with 23 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 17.80 points or 0.36% at 4,903.60 with 39 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.01% to 82.35 (23:49 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.25 up 0.06% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 79.77 down 0.13% (23:43 ET).
