Rupee falls 9 paise against US dollar to 53.37 |

Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Tuesday. Rupee was down by 9 paise or 0.17% against USD to Rs 53.37 compared to previous close of 53.28 (09.19 a.m.).
''USDINR could bounce from current levels to 53.48 levels, where 9-Day EMA falls. A break and close above this can make a way towards 53.95 levels. Any intraday declines can't be ruled out towards 53.10 levels. The rupee appears to consolidate within a range while chances of intraday depreciation cannot be ruled out,'' said Emkay Global Financial Services.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.11% to 79.63 (22:40 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.34 down 0.15% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 92.38 (22:52 ET).
At 09.23 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 62.98 points or 0.32% at 19,688.21 with 23 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 27.55 points or 0.46% at 5,959.70 with 44 components falling.
