Rupee Gains 20 Paise Against Dollar in Early Trade |

The Indian Rupee strengthened by 20 paise to Rs 45.68 a dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market in the morning trade today, tracking gains in other Asian currencies.
Dealers said firm opening by the stock exchanges and the American Dollar’s losses against other Asian currencies kept the rupee sentiment firm.
The rupee had gained 5 paise to close at Rs 45.88/89 against dollar in the previous session on the back of firm domestic equity markets and dollar selling by exporters.
Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex opened 93.81 points or 0.48 per cent higher at 19,615.06 level in the morning trade today.
