Rupee Gains 3 Paise Against US Dollar in Early Trade |

MUMBAI: The Indian rupee rose marginally by 3 paise to Rs 44.67 a dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, supported by increased dollar inflows.
Forex dealers said increased dollar inflows and higher opening at the bourses helped strengthen rupee, but dollar's firmness against other major currencies restricted its' gains.
The rupee had remained stable at Rs 44.70/71 against the US dollar in the previous session in lacklustre trade.
Meanwhile, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex moved up by 89.93 points or 0.44 per cent to 20,650.98 points in the opening trade today.
