Rupee gains 4 paise against US dollar to 51.57 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Wednesday. Rupee was up by 0.04 paise or 0.09% against USD to Rs 51.57 (09.22 a.m.).
At 09.27 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 136.35 points or 0.79% at 17,107.49 with 28 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 39.80 points or 0.76% at 5,203.80 with 48 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.02% to 79.84 (23:55 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.30 down 0.09% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 80.76 up 0.11% (23:52 ET).
