Rupee gains 9 paise against US dollar to 50.09 |

Indian rupee gained against the greenback in morning trade on Monday. Rupee was higher by 0.09 paise or 0.19% against USD to Rs 50.09 (09.23 a.m.).
At 09.25 a.m., the Sensex was trading down 65.23 points or 0.37% at 17,400.97 with 17 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 32.70 points or 0.61% at 5,285.20 with 33 components falling.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index increased 0.03% to 78.50 (23:52 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.31 down 0.0507% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 83.48 up 0.0599% (23:49 ET).
