Rupee Ggains By 8 Paise Against US Dollar |

Indian rupee edged higher against the greenback in morning trade. Rupee was up by 8 paise or 0.08% against USD to Rs 45.39 compared to previous close of 45.47. (09.14 a.m.)
At 9.11.am, the Sensex was trading up 142.67 points or 0.81% at 17,775.08 with 26 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 57.80 points or 1.10% at 5,320.50 with 42 components gaining.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index dropped 0.07% to 77. It touched a high of 77.08 and a low of 76.96 after opening at 77.05. (22:40ET)
Euro - USD was trading at 1.38 up 0.0024% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 81.90 up 0.0130%. (22:43 ET)
