India containerized scrap import prices decline sharply to $345 a ton |

MUMBAI : India containerized scrap import prices declined sharply by $13 a ton week-on-week to $345 a ton CFR Nharva Sheva port in the week ended November 07, as per the latest figures released by The Steel Index.
According to TSI, containerized shredded index for Indian imports again fell in line with international prices.
However, total volumes imported picked up this week, with a number of bookings out of Europe and the Middle East.
Sellers are now talking up this being the bottom of the market, with inquiries reportedly picking up and the onset of winter in Europe looming on the horizon.
