The company will develop ready-to-plug-in facility as well as manufacture cells, wafers, panels, and power transmission equipment," a source said.

The group also plans to set up around 4,000MW solar power generation facility. "The firm wants around 20,000 acres of new land from the government for developing the solar power generation park," the source said.

It has also sought the status of ultra mega project and other financial incentives. The company plans to rope in a foreign firm as tech nology partner," said a senior officials.

He further said that the state government has sought further details from the company for the proposed plan for the park."There are several policy issues where the central government comes into the picture, such as transmission network for transfer of power.
