In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), read with rule 23 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping Duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, and based upon the findings of the designated authority in the matter of review of anti-dumping duties on Isobutyl Benzene published vide GSR (68) in Part l, section 1, of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 27^th March 1998, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in public interest so to do, hereby imposes on Isobutyl Benzene falling under Chapter 29 of the First Schedule to the said Act, originating in or exported from the Peoples Republic of China, when imported into India an anti-dumping duty at the rate of Rs. 12,465 (Rupees Twelve thousand four hundred and sixty five only) per metric tonne.

2.     This notification shall be in force upto and inclusive of the 19^th day of September 2000.
