PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 01/2015-2020
New Delhi, Dated the 06th April, 2016
Subject: Amendment in General Note No. 15 for Textiles (Product Code:
J).
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade
Policy 2015-20 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1), the
Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment/additions
in the Handbook of Procedures. Vol.2,2015-2020, as amended.
2. The General Note No. 15 for Textiles (Product Code: J) is substituted as
under:-
General Note No 15:-
" In case of fabric, flexibility up to +/- 10% in GSM and in case of blended
fabric, flexibility up to +/-3% in Count in import/export shall be allowed."
3. Effect of Public Notice:
In case of blended fabric, +/-3% variation in count shall be allowed and to that
extent, amendment in norm (SION/Ad-hoc) against Advance Authorisation/Duty Free
Import Authorisation will not be required.
