Subject: Amendment in import policy of items under ITC(IIS) 8524 and 8525 of
Chapter 85 of ITC(IIS) 2022, Schedule - 1 (Import Policy)
S.O.(E): In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of the
Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02
and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time,
the Central Government hereby amends the import policy of items under ITC(HS)
8524 and 8525 of Chapter 85 of ITC(HS) 2022, Schedule I (Import Policy) as
follows -

2. Effect of the Notification: Import policy of ITC(HS) 8524 and ITC(HS) 8525 89
00 is revised from 'Restricted' to 'Free' with immediate effect.
This issues with the approval of Minister of Commerce & Industry.
