Amendment in SION for Pathogen Free (SPF) Eggs

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002 - 2007, as amended.

Note: The import shall be permitted only from those countries which are free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Fowl Plague) in terms of Gazette Notification of Ministry of Agriculture , Department of Animal Husbandry dated 07.07.2004 (No. 612) and Notification No. 43/(RE:2003) /2002-2007 dated 6.8.2004 of Ministry of Commerce and Industry and any other notification issued in this regard from time to time. Further, the import shall be allowed only on fulfillment of the conditions specified in the General Notes regarding Import Policy (including Phytosanitary requirements) given in the ITC (HS) Classification of Import and Export Items and on furnishing of Health Protocol from the Ministry of Agriculture , Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying at the time of import.�
