Notification No.55/2007-CUSTOMS
G.S.R. 287(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, on
being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby
makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of
India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 157/1990-Customs,
dated the 1st March, 2006, namely:-
In the said notification, in the first paragraph, in proviso to condition (5),
for the words “on payment of customs duty with the prior approval of the
Government of India in the Department of Revenue”, the words “in accordance with
any law for the time being in force applicable to such goods and on payment of
the duties of customs which are payable in respect of such goods” shall be
substituted.
